We love Emma! This book is such a wonderful story and the illustrations are absolutely gorgeous. My 9-year-old has read it several times now. I’m so happy we added Emma’s Art to our library.
There are a lot of Level 1 words in this book for children to practice, while reading a story about how they can do something kind with their art. If they follow Emma’s example, they’ll practice writing too!
My sons both love all types of art and were drawn in by this lovely story.
My daughter loved picking out all the details in the illustrations of Emma’s art. Such a sweet story of kindness. My kids love TGTB books!
I ordered several books from the Level 1B collection, and my daughter chose this one to read first because of the art theme. She is not a bookworm and has resisted reading in the past. She read the entire book in one morning! That was huge for her! It made her want to paint, so she painted afterwards and re-read the book the next day. If you have a child who likes art she may really love this book. I was pleasantly surprised at how well received this was for my unenthusiastic reader!
Emma loves art! She loves to paint, and she loves to make people smile. When she finds a way to do both, it makes for a very fun day! Filled with beautiful illustrations, this heart-warming story shows the value of friendship and caring for others, while encouraging your child’s own
creativity.
